Saskwatch – ‘Hands’ is out now via iTunes and will be released on 7” vinyl via Northside Records on Friday 1 November 2013

Legendary Melbourne Soul outfit Saskwatch have returned with their brand new single ‘Hands’.

Powered by the tremendous vocals of front woman Nkechi Anele and incorporating fast-paced drumming, handclaps, and an utterly ecstatic brass section, ‘Hands’ is Saskwatch at their most playful and energetic.

The film clip stars rabbits Larry and Alphy as they go on an All-American vacation. It was created by director Jason Galea (Zonkvision) who spliced VHS tapes & vintage vacation footage together to create the “feel-good rabbit road trip Film Of The Year”.

The latest release follows on from previous single ‘I Get Lonely’, a track recorded in collaboration with one of Saskwatch’s favourite local producers, Mikey Young (Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Total Control). For ‘Hands’ the 9-piece soul outfit continued on their 2013 collaboration bent and enlisted Jarrad Brown (Eagle And The Worm) to produce and Julian Mckenzie (Money For Rope) as engineer with Haima Marriott on mixing duties.

‘Hands’ arrives as Saskwatch prepare for a massive 12-date National Tour in what will cap off an extremely productive year for the band. 2013 has already seen Saskwatch tour extensively supporting Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble and Earth, Wind And Fire as well as festival appearances at Glastonbury and Black Is Back Festival in Spain.
